ways to get involved with hope for one

About the Hope for One Foundation

At the age of 34, my husband Kelsey lost his fight with cancer.

Kelsey was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer in February 2019. We were less than two years into our marriage, and little did we know, we had less than one year left together. Kelsey was full of life, highly-active, the picture of health…and yet, cancer did not discriminate.

In 2020, the American Cancer Society estimated that over 104,610 Americans would be diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and an estimated 53,200 would not survive. In the United States, colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and in women, and the second most common cause of cancer deaths when men and women are combined.

Kelsey’s heart and spirit was always serving others, and his servant legacy continues to live on through the Hope for One Foundation. This was my promise to Kelsey – that I would continue to share his story with the world, because to him, if it could save even one life, every hardship he endured would be worth it.
